Kids!

I thought I'd do a new post to fill you in on the kids' newest accomplishments!

Benjamin is becoming quite the young man, he says the funniest things, and speaks as if he was 10.  Kathy was asking him his favorite thing from Hawaii and he told her it was the shower ... He really enjoyed the shower to rinse off the sand by the ocean.  They had a short one to wash your feet except it was the perfect size for him ... he would push it and get his swim shorts just soaked and then bend over and wash his hair.  He was under the impression he should take a shower, that's what you're supposed to do, right?

Corbynn is getting really big.  She just recently started pulling herself up, on EVERYTHING in the house.  Today she fell because she couldn't keep herself up on the oven.  She's got quite the independent personality (I don't know where she could possibly get that).  She also really enjoys eating!  She's only got two bottom teeth, but don't deny her food.  All she wants is table food and if she's not eating what we are I spend the meal dodging her dirty looks.  She's got such a personality for 11 months old.

I took some more pictures of the kids yesterday. Corbynn was laying still (mostly) Ben on the other hand would not hold still. Every shot I got of him was blurry cause he was on the move. Here's some of my favorites.

Baby Food

Before Ben was born I really wanted to purchase a vita mix. They are a serious blending machine and do so much more - anyway. It was definitely out of the picture so I made baby food in my food processor (it worked ok). Then for our 3rd anniversary Gerad got me a vita mix - YAY! Yesterday I made my first batch of baby food in it and it was incredible. Since peaches are in season I decided I should stock up on peach baby food (hopefully she likes it (: ). I used 8 peaches and got 60 ice cubes of peaches! I'm so excited because it took like no time at all - maybe 20 minutes! If anyone has any fabulous baby food recipes send them my way!

While Benjamin was holding Corbynn I couldn't help but see the size difference in their feet. I love this next shot because he has such a loving caring look on his face.

Here's some pics of Ben holding Corbynn. He likes to hold her, but not for too long or if she starts to make any sounds, then he's all done and I'm diving for her before he forgets he has to wait for mommy to get sister before he can get out of the chair!

Due Date

Today, August 3, 2009 is Corbynn's Due Date. She has been with us 5 weeks today and I am so glad! I love that we have gotten just a little extra time with her. I've really noticed in the last few days her little cheeks are getting chubby. I can't imagine not having her the last 5 weeks, we've been to events with her that I'm glad she was at.

My prayer for her is that she grows up to be an amazing woman of God, that she loves her family and her husband with all of her heart, that she will have amazing dreams and desires placed in her heart by God. I pray she affects her friends and the others who surround her as much as she has affected our family in these last 5 weeks. The love and joy she has brought to our lives is too great for words.

One Month

This morning at 1:00am (while up feeding Corbynn) I realized I should have posted this yesterday. Better late than never!

Yesterday our beautiful Corbynn was one month old. It's incredible how much she has changed in such a short time. She was so tiny (could have been that she was 5 weeks early!)
